Our Story

Growing up I always loved food. I was lucky enough to have Polish, English and Scottish heritage. This meant I was fortunate enough to experience a lot of different types of food, flavours and textures.
Our family is so close, all our gatherings are around food. We have so much great homecooked food, followed by desserts, everyone yapping away, telling stories, arguing over who gets the last roastie. Family time wasn't just a birthday or Christmas time it was an event for us all to be together, to indulge in great flavours and fill our bellies with fantastic food, love and laughter.

My passion started at a young age. I used to stay with my wee beautiful Nana, she was the best cook! She just managed to get every ounce of flavour you can out of a simple ingredient. I would be a young kid standing on a chair in her kitchen, she would let me chop the veg, place it in the pan and stir the soup. Tasting the soup was great but the best thrill was seeing someone else enjoy it, something I had just made. Well that was a feeling I would continue to love and seek throughout my life.

The relish idea started while having many  BBQ's with my family. I could no longer put the supermarket cheap relish on my burgers, it just tasted like watered-down sugar. Everyone knows ketchup is for kids and brown sauce is for bacon. I needed an adult sauce, something that would compliment the butcher quality fresh meat, something with some spice but not too much, something sweet, something salty, something sour, a goldilocks of sauces you may say, something just right!




After attempting around 40 different recipes I finally had the right relish. My mates would ask me to bring it along on our yearly camping trips, soon they were asking to buy jars. I decided to follow my passion and open a small food van selling delicious butcher quality meat on rolls with my relish a staple part of everyone. 

It became apparent after a few days trading that people enjoyed my relish, they appreciated a fresh grown-up sauce to accompany their choice of filling. They were having it with beef burgers, cheese rolls, sausage, bacon and egg, some where just having on chips. The best feeling was when they would share their own serving suggestions on social media giving us 5 stars out of 5 stars for every recommendation. Some eat theirs with crisps, others cheese and crackers, some are even known to use it as a pizza base.

In 6 months we have created 2 food products, sold out at most markets, got into our first shop with a few others lined up. The van has made the finals for 'street food vendor of the year 2019 + 2020' and had 5 out of 5 stars 100% positive feedback/ reviews, been invited to do weddings, parties, we've done talks at high schools, held stalls in many different markets and locked in a good number of galas for the summer.
We pride our business on attention to small details, the customer journey and only using the best local fresh butcher meat for our business.
